... and just another silly Hunt, that's all !

A few weeks befor Christmas I sent, via email and the printed word [recorded delivery] a rather lengthy, but detailed answer to New Health Minister Jeremy Hunt's obvious concerns about the loneliness of the British people - especially our elderly. I included the masterpiece on the subject, the 'Triblogology' written some time ago, way before any MP had even considered this aspect of the ban.
Part 1:  here
Part 2:  here
Part3:   here
Whether he, or any of his minions actually read the contents and considered the absolute truths contained therein is anybody's guess, but from the emailed response I received a couple of days ago I very much doubt it! You see, no matter what 'spin' these people try to put on helping people overcome the immense damage caused by the total smoking ban it is all totally worthless because they do not care about the people of this country-well, 25% of them at any rate! Jeremy Hunt has come out of the traps like a good favourite should, fast - squawking loudly and boldly about helping our aged avoid loneliness, solitude and the misery all that brings about a lonely death. But when confronted with the most obvious answer of all he simply refuses to entertain any notions of choice, equality or fairness. Here is the response from one of the great mans underlings:

Our ref: DE00000744858

Dear Mr Simple Simon,

Thank you for your email of 7 December to Jeremy Hunt about smoking.  I have been asked to reply.
The Department of Health believes that people should be protected from exposure to hazardous secondhand tobacco smoke.  This is what is being achieved through the Government’s smokefree legislation, where smoking is eliminated in virtually every enclosed public place and workplace in this country.

The smokefree provisions of the Health Act 2006 are consistent with what many other countries are doing to protect people from the harmful effects of secondhand smoke.  Smokefree legislation is proving to be not only very effective in protecting health, but also very popular.

Smoking costs the British taxpayer more than £1.7billion a year in treatment bills alone.  It causes 84 per cent of deaths from lung cancer and 83 per cent of deaths from chronic obstructive lung disease, including bronchitis.  Smoking is the biggest cause of health inequalities in the UKFaced with this terrible toll of disease and disability, the Department is taking action to support smokers who want to give up and to help people not to start.

Yours sincerely,

Edward Corbett

Ministerial Correspondence and Public Enquiries

Department of Health
Now you may read this and think the same as me-what a load of bilge, but this is more than just bilge my friends, this is a lot more than just bilge. This one spells out exactly where we stand and exactly what is going to happen in the future. To start with they quote a blindingly obvious lie "... protected from exposure to hazardous secondhand tobacco smoke." Now we already know that SHS hasn't killed anyone yet, and probably never will so that is number one untruth sorted, yet they have now enshrined that word "hazardous". Sarin gas is hazardous, Zyklon B is hazardous, carbon monoxide is hazardous but SHS is not-which reminds me, I still haven't had my challenge accepted by Dr Douglas Noble concerning exhaust fumes!

(Empty Zyklon B cannisters used in
the gas chambers at Auschwitz!)
Secondly, Mr Edward Corbett states "The Department of Health believes that people should be protected from exposure to hazardous secondhand tobacco smoke." So we are now to understand that the entire DofH is full of numpties that believe every word spoken by ASH and other anti tobacco organisations to such an extent that we now need protecting from something that is actually harmless are we? They also completely ignore the vast pollution problems we have because they deem transport a 'can't do without'! I thought we were supposed to be thinking of the chiiildren here?

(Another small child is engulfed!)
It would seem that because more than 400 ignorant MPs were duped in the first place, the DofH has no alternative but to think likewise-what a sad, sad state of affairs. What would they have done with this I wonder had this been presented as smoking was/is?

"The smoke free provisions..." are most certainly not consistent with what other countries are doing as 'other countries' do not have total smoke bans as we do-most have some restrictions but have seen the immense cost to businesses and have seen the light. Of course we are too blind and too stupid to understand that simple concept-and of course the state funded sock puppets have now gained too great a foothold in government trenches (APPG anyone?)
"Smoking costs the British taxpayer more than £1.7billion a year in treatment bills alone." Now here is a revelation. Is this a slip up by a DofH official I ask for we have always been told that 'smoking related treatments' cost government £2.7bn per annum-nice to know that we now save government £1bn per annum in these times of austerity! However, despite the difference in figures quoted, smokers still cost the NHS a damned sight less than the boozers (£3.2bn - fluctuating of course) and the fatties (£5bn - fluctuating of course) so they have no argument on costs whatsoever Again, a totally superfluous quote.
"It causes 84 per cent of deaths from lung cancer..." which is quite strange as we now have "that report" which states, quite unequivocally, that 80% of lung cancers ARE NOT caused through smoking! Even the WHO conclude that smoking does not necessarily cause lung cancer!
So, what Jeremy Hunt's department are basically saying is that "we are not going to back down on the smoking issue, only 25% (max apparently) of the population now smoke and we are determined to eradicate smoking due to the cost (not quite sure how much) to the NHS. And now that we have seen how easy it is for government to employ/fund people (ASH> CRUK> FRESH> SMOKE FREE et al) to ensure that other peoples lives become as miserable as possible; we are going to kick ass with alcohol consumption & obesity." Yet another puppet of TC.

It never occurs to these people that unnecessary deaths will be caused along the way. The fact is they don't care as their sole aim is to prove that they have saved one single life-something they have blatantly failed to do with the smoking ban!

(It's a lonely life being a drinker these days!)
The simple proof that smoking bans don't work for businesses is perfectly illustrated here as the people of Boise, Texas (where they can't smoke) simply nip across the line to Garden City  (where they can smoke), consequently this bar owner has seen a massive 30% drop in revenue, yet lawmakers care not for business losses either side of the pond it seems. Holland reacted to the impositions and it looks like Bulgaria, to their eternal credit, are doing the same, as the Bulgars are simply ignoring the ban. Shame the idiotic people in this country didn't do the same from Day1 ! Instead, the vast majority simply herded themselves outside like docile sheep-and look where we are today.
There is big trouble coming in the east (as if they haven't got enough problems already) as a lunatic islamist group somewhere in the Egyptian deserts has now declared that smoking be the devils work and that offenders would be 'harshly punished'. The “Group for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice” are, basically, nothing but a lunatic vigilante group who are using religion to wipe out that which they themselves don't like! And surprise, surprise, Sharia law is at the heart of the matter. So folks, don't be surprised if this is not the starting point of smokers fighting back because I am absolutely certain that if these lunatics apply stoning, shooting, beheading or any other ghastly forms of killing upon smokers it will be the straw that breaks the camels back (no pun intended of course).
Horror: Mohamed Abukar Ibrahim is stoned to death by militants from the Hizbul Islam group in the Afgoye district of Somalia yesterday
(Do we want mob law/violence like this?)
It will be the long awaited start of the fight back by smokers, who, once they get the bit between their teeth will have no mercy on the likes of ASH, CRUK et al.After all, we've now got plenty of reports like this to fall back on since smoking bans were introduced and the mindset of certain types of people was forcibly altered. It will come, I am certain of it and I am now seriously thinking that this will be the only way to right this enormous wrong that is being heaped upon 25% of the people of this once great democratic country.
Laughable, on the other side of the world where anti smoking hysteria has truly gone hysterical, the Australian government are gnashing their collective teeth because a company has devised stickers to neatly cover the 'plain packaging' so ordered by the Aus Gov't Examples of the 'ugly' cigarette packet packaging  and why not indeed? Why should smokers have to look at silly pictures on grubby green/silver/brown/whatever cigarette boxes? Mock-up picture of cigarette packet featuring plain packaging Why shouldn't they be allowed to decorate their fag packet the way they want-after all they have paid enough for it. Wouldn't it be a 'nobble' if the stickers for sale ended up exactly the same design that the fag packets were in the first place! .
Chris Mullen, Cigarette Pack Art: A Unique Blend of Cigarette Pack Design (HB) cigarettes
What could the Aus'n Gov't do about it, after all, would they then try to ban freedom of expression? Freedom of design or freedom of print? Mind you, with their equally corrupted legal system I think they would have every chance of doing so.
So, I think we can begin to see that the fight in this country for our freedoms of choice were lost before this law was actually enacted simply because the greedy pubcos were frightened to death at the prospect of a few pubs closing down if choice was allowed. Tuppen, Thorley and other pubco bigwigs were too busy trying to outdo each other to take any real notice of what might happen. They were easily 'schmoozed' by the promise of "millions of fresh air drinkers" descending upon their establishments (do you know anyone that sits and drinks fresh air? I don't) Now sit back and gloat at this pair of 'brilliant businessmen' who could not understand that smokers would walk. Thorley, very wisely, did see the light and decamped (trousering several £million as he did so) stating that he was looking for 'new challenges' as Punch's empire crumbled magnificently into nothingness. Shareholders must have been gobsmacked to see how wrong they were about the effects of smoking bans as shares plummeted from £13.68 --> £00.07p. Tuppen is still trying to get out of the massive financial hole he & Enterprise Inns are in-but neither will manage to do so.
12,000 businesses have succumbed to this atrocious law, government is losing a fortune in revenue and unemployment keeps rising but such is the hold that the pharmaceutical industry has over nations (through the WHO) that those that have agreed to abide by the FCTC now fear to do anything to upset their medical masters-except the courageous Dutch who have left the people to decide for themselves.
We had the promise of reforms when the deadly duo took over from the Blairite years of misrule-they lied. We knew they would. They still lie-we know they will. They will always lie and will always promote lies because it is the very nature of that particular beast. The only Health Minister to raise concerns was John Reid and he was quickly 'shuftied' aside for a more amenable health minister! Yes it was that bitch from Leicester West, Patricia Hewitt (6 May 2005) who sold our clubs down the 'swannee', whilst sneaking off earning £3K per hour/morning/afternoon etc for sitting in meetings! (I think it's called consulting)
We know that whilst we curtsy to those ambassadors of dictatorship in Brussels we are always under their watchful eye where all matters smoking are concerned so the smoking ban is simply another reason for us to leave that Godforsaken union. The EU simply does not afford us any priviledges-except the give away £53.3m per day when we need every penny ourselves. Is it any wonder we are known as Broken Britain (BB not GB).
As stated before, Cameron needs to grow a pair and walk away from this european disaster zone and then the simplest task of all is to move the smoking ban away from the health department and into the business sector and create choice for all. After 5 years of smokers hell there will be thousands of pubs quite happy to stay as non smoking and equally there will be a nice few pubs quite happy to welcome smokers back inside-especially in the long cold winter months! The WMC's of this  deprived nation will immediately open a room for smokers and welcome thousands of long lost drinkers back to the warmth of the clubs (read about the clubs struggle for survival here) People like Donaldson (the biggest Hunt of them all), Lansley (the old dimwitted Hunt) and this new young Hunt will be superfluous, they won't be needed to keep bleating the same old, tired, full of misinformation rubbish that even many in the medical profession are now questioning and refuting.

(Dr Phillipe Even dare not speak out against TC misinformation whilst employed!)
You see folks, even as the new kid on the block, we just have yet another silly Hunt who has been informed to ignore the most obvious elephant in the room, so our elderly will continue to die in isolation, loneliness and despair at the country many of them once fought for. Can't really see the point of electing any more silly, ineffectual, flannelling, lying Hunts to Westminster really-can you?

... and of course we end with more lunacy!

Well they say that rest is good for the soul so three weeks away from the keyboard, not in a plush hotel I hasten to add, may have freshened the mind somewhat-we'll see.
In a torrid year where the lunatics have been running the asylum it is no real shock to end this crackpot year with the Daily Mailonline really showing their  anti smoking hand by printing the garbage released by the Italian Health Ministry. These numpties have obviously been 'highly influenced' by the WHO, who themselves desperately needed to salvage some credibility after the years battering by the truth seekers - who favour democracy & freedoms rather than dictatorship & suppression! I shall not even bother to trawl through the years hilarious events, the ludicrous statements and the ridiculous suggestions as friend Chris Snowdon has neatly documented the entire years crackpotery - quite succinctly too!
The humble cigarette must be stopped  at all costs, we know that,  but now the ingenious e-cig has been  castigated as "don't in fact help quit smoking and they still posed a potentially serious health risk because they contained nicotine."

Oh dear me, just what pressure has been heaped upon the almost potless Italian Health Ministry for them to come up with this one? Actually, I dread to think!
The whole idea of the e-cigarette, which millions of people worldwide now use to reduce their smoking, was, surprisingly enough, to hopefully reduce the amount of tobacco consumed (smoking). It has even been cited as an intermediary device which would lead to quitting smoking altogether! It is easy to see that 2013 is going to be the year of "ban the e-cig" - because it resembles smoking. You really couldn't make this war on tobacco up if you tried. So what have we to look forward to in 2013?

Let's see now, Mr Dave will stutter and stammer his way through another year telling us all that the EU is an integral part of British life - well, seeing as how we are paying these unelected dunderheads £53,000,000 per day I suppose it is an integral part of the British way of life. It will skint this country, is that 'integral' enough! It will render more people onto our benefits systems and, worse still, it will open the floodgates to 29,000,000 other nationals - I'll bet they are queueing up with rucksacks & battered old suitcases already on the Bulgarian borders! Who can blame them? What do they have? Almost 50% of the country live in abject poverty yet as soon as they land here they can claim more in dole money than they can earn back home. Romanians will be doing exactly the same methinks, in fact, I'll bet they are on the move today-what a start to 2013! Thanks Tony, you and your arse of a party certainly knew how to fill this country full of dead weight!
Of course the mere fact that 60% of the British people now want out of the EU (22% want in & 18% haven't got a clue what day it is!) means little to Mr Dave for it is his opinion that we should be in- HIS! Who the f**k is this turnip who was elected to represent our country, our people, and then does his own thing against the people's wishes (the EU is a completely different beast to the old EEC we originaly joined!) - or, yet again, are darker forces at work here? New World Order anyone, the Illuminati? well something is keeping Cameron from doing the people's bidding and I would dearly love to know what it is! Grow a pair man, for once in your priviledged, upper class twittery of a life!
Of course Mr Dave has another major problem looming large for he is in a coalition with a totally worthless bunch of 'has beens' that can now no longer hold onto their seats in by-elections around the country. Indeed, deposits have been lost as less than 5% voted for these once important looking muppets. Yes, we are talking about the Cleggerons, those beings from another planet that have completely forgotten what "Liberalism" is/was truly about.Vince Cable looks like 'dead man walking', Clegg is 'dead man gone' for he will be lucky to survive 2013 in his present position and MPs like Stephen Williams will cling on for dear life whilst he tries to find a new, permanent position within the anti tobacco industry, for surely the good people of Bristol West will not vote this pillock into power again! Photo of Stephen WilliamsWhy do I label this man a pillock-simples?   We are a country in serious financial decline. We are a country in serious need of law change to halt the massive influx of immigrants (look what happened in Germany!) yet this imbecile spends all his days plotting how to eradicate smoking/smokers-for God's sake man, can't you simply live and let live? Have you not yet learned that stress is the biggest killer of all and stress is closely followed by loneliness - ask the WHO! Have you not realised that even though smoking rates have fallen dramatically in the past 50 years cancer rates have grown just as dramatically?
We also have more and more bilge from ASH et al to look forward to as the creature known as Deborah Arnott marches relentlessly on with her "Betrieb auszulöschen" (operation wipeout) of smokers/smoking. This woman is so determined to see the end of tobacco consumption that I'm almost certain that she will somehow get a knighthood from the WHO-well, they manage to engineer virtually any situation that they wish to engineer so why not! She, like the rest of the retards in the anti tobacco league, seem not to care that whole nations will be thrown into total poverty as they see their tobacco plantations destroyed by these fanatics-and for what I ask? It is us, the general public that are subsidising these morons who cannot stop interfering in people's lives, we are contributing toward our own social demise, incredible!
We can look forward to more antipodean claptrap from the almost saint like Simon Chapman who has already stated that  forcing smokers to be licensed would see a dramatic reduction in smokers-and this man is a professor (what of I dread to think!). When I asked him (on a comments section) if wearing a yellow star would be better he simply stated that I was being silly and over reacting. I've not quite worked out how he figures that out personally for this is following all the footsteps of the Nazi regime that engulfed Europe from 1935 onwards.
But, the one thing that struck me during our little 'comments section banter' was his total antipathy toward the African people dying in their thousands. I mentioned that as a health 'expert' he should be more concerned with saving their miserable lives from starvation & famine, that the WHO should be waging war on pipeline companies and plumbers from all around the world to provide clean water for these people, that the 'one child' law should be imposed for their own good, that automatic sterilisation be introduced for their own good-in other words anything that could help these poor people should be done. His response? "Well that's rather unfortunate". Rather unfortunate? It's a bloody disaster folks! here we have a bunch of so called health experts bleating on about smoking/smokers yet, as health experts, they completely ignore the 'living dead' on the other side of the world. Yes, having a conscience I consider it to be a hell of a lot more than 'rather  unfortunate'! It does show however that people like Chapman only want to be where the money is, but then don't all these so called anti tobacco experts? We (yes Britain) pay the WHO $33m per annum to crucify our social lives yet the WHO gaily abandon the Africans who are dying daily. Malnourished: A child from southern Mogadishu, lies on a wooden table at Banadir hospital, in Mogadishu, SomaliaThere is obviously no money to be gained in saving such people. It is obvious that being of assistance to these poor people does not suit the balance sheets of Big Pharma, hence the WHO. It seems that this bunch of killjoys need to be renamed the POTW-HO (Parts of the World-Health Organisation) for they don't seem very interested in a large chunk of it! I think that 2013 should see a steady stream of complaints headed toward there HQ at

The most exciting aspect of 2013 is the simple fact that Mr Dave is going to have to eat his words with regard to Britains now fastest growing "3rd party"-UKIP. Having branded them as "fruitcakes, loonies and closet racists" I think our 'Oxford Toff'' is going to have to eat his own words very soon in 2013 because the ebullient Nigel Farage is on a crusade to rescue british politics from its boring self destruction. I met Nigel when UKIP campaigned in my home town and I found him to be just the sort of person you could talk to about anything. No airs and graces, you ask, you get-and you get honesty! Nigel Farage, leader of Ukip, 2009None of those political wishy-washy answers that basically sidestep the main point as does Mr Dave et al. His opinion on Europe is obvious to all but when you get him engaged in the subject it is incredible to learn what the EU are up to behind closed doors-this country has to be O...U...T and make no mistake about it. It is easy to see why UKIP are picking up voters from all walks of life and it is simplicity itself to understand why they have quickly replaced the illiberal dems as Britains 3rd party..... in fact 'they' might as well pack up and go home to their rabbit warrens! It seems to me (as a previously totally unpolitical animal) that all UKIP want is a fair system where immigration is virtually stopped, a situation where people can get jobs ansd earn a reasonable living and, of course, a nation where freedom of choice is restored so that businesses can thrive  (or fail) under their own direction. Oh yes, and they happen to want us out of that catastrophe over the channel-the EU! Now I don't think that is asking too much, do you? I am now convinced that people need to update their political  views/allegiances and consider voting UKIP for neither Labour nor Conservative have any idea of how to take this country of ours forward yet they both seem quite content to 'hang us out to dry' with the rest of the EU countries-most of whom are a damned sight poorer than we are! All this generation 'voting crap' where folk vote Labour/Conservative  'cos me fayther allus did' has got to go out of the window-the Labour party and the working classes got divorced when Blair came into power and the Tories will never manage to balance the books after those thirteen years of misrule.
We will end as we started folks, with more lunacy. It was noted in the New Years honours list that one Cherie Blair (I kid you not) was awarded a CBE, which I find absolutely derisable! As the wife of our former PM she is already living the life on his vastly overpaid tour speeches (seems the Yanks/Arabs can't get enough of his slobber) she still picked up a very handsome £102,000 for a '5 city tour' of Australia & N Zealand. £102,000 for God's sake, some charity worker she is-sweet Jesus!
CHERIE-BLAIR-CBE
(Cherie Blair prays for another £102,000 hand out) [ht to Guido]

Apparently, at an £82 per head dinner, a cancer research charity receiving as much as £6,690, or 8%, of the total funds raised at an £82-a-head dinner which raised £81,270. So who pocketed the rest I ask? If you want an honest cancer charity to donate a few quid to then simply click here, you'll not find any £82 or even £8.20p per head dinners, or 8% awarded to the charity here, but you will find lots of nurses & doctors willing to give up their spare time to help raise valuable funds for much needed equipment to treat cancer patients! You'll even find a nurse who wants to chuck herself out of an aeroplane to raise funds for the charity-bet 'our Cherie' wouldn't do that!
Happy New Year to you all and may 2013 bring back some sensibility to this crackpottery of a country!

Corruption starts with the anti tobacco mob!

So today sees the inauguration of Australia's plain packaging for cigarettes. Now I say plain packaging but of course they are far from plain as it seems that tobacco manufacturers aren't allowed to have any pictures or decroations on their packets but the anti tobacco mob, in league with the governmnent can cover 75% of the packet with silly pictures of green teeth, stapled eyes & a small child with breathing problems (probably bronchial and absolutely nothing to do with tobacco smoke-but it serves their purpose!) to cite but a few.

In a world that boasts laws regarding Equal Rights it seems very strange that the Australian judiciary has seen fit to totally ignore such important matters, but then again why should I be surprised at such judicial findings having witnessed the complete corruptness of the legal system here in Britain at first hand! In fact, I can honestly state that I have never seen such open corruptness within our legal system in all my years on this earth as I have since July 1st, 2007.
We have a government that was shocked to its very core when they realised that their "Public Consultation" (on plain packaging) was being swamped by 'Joe Public's' objections to the proposal. In fact such was the rout that anti tobacco forces found it necessary to lie, cheat & use deception to raise their profile-and still failed to master 'Joe Public'! At the heart of the corruption..... you guessed it..... the Arnott. She who says she must be obeyed by all and sundry. She who says that anyone who has the audacity to object to these measures must be in the pay of Mr Big Tobacco.
Well I assure the 'Bitch from Shoreditch' that if I am in such pay, I would love to ask where my 5.5 years wages are being stored for |I could surely do with a few quid in my pocket! You see folks, I don't smoke but I know, deep down, that what is going on in this country is totally wrong. OK, I agree, we must protect the chiiildren but what is going on here is way, way beyond protecting our little ones, it's persecution of a minority! We have idiots like Stephen Williams

          (the vanquished)                     (the victor)
MP    (but probably not for much longer looking at the past few weeks'glorious' performances by the woefully inept LibDems) pontificating about saving the children but he was subject to a total 'smackdown' courtesy of Ian Paisley Jnr. I say idiot because we have a nation in financial, internal turmoil, immigration out of control and all but the PM wanting OUT of the disastrous European Union yet this complete nerd (I am kind sometimes) concentrates all his efforts and time in parliament campaigning for anti tobacco measures! Ireland, now the european smuggling capital is faring even worse! What was that cartoon thing-Where's Wally was it? Not got to look any further have we!
WE now have the anti alcohol brigade on the march (Mr C's pet dog this is) and they've come up with "the Sheffield study" for this one just to prove themselves right-but-fellow scribe Dick puddlecote has unearthed the proof of all the lies issued north of the border. How will Nicols Sturgeon cover her embarrassment? And how strange that two governments are quite happy to lie like pigs in sh*t to persecute their voters even more!
Today we had the much respected  Mark Littlewood  allowed to speak against plain packaging-and guess who against, yet again? yes, the Arnott who, as usual, sat there and announced to all and sundry lie after lie. When are these people going to wake up and smell the coffee? For a start she states that there is no evidence of a counterfeit cigarette increase. Really Debs? This woman just cannot help herself when it comes to 'porkies', in fact I'm astounded that she's not the Mayoress of Melton Mowbray!
(Liars should be spit roasted like the pigs they are!)
As 'she' speaks, the Irish tobacco losses to counterfeiters/smugglers/opportunists amounts to €736,460,000! What were you saying Debs??? More figures:

  • €736,460,000 – Loss to Irish Economy from illegal tobacco in 2012
  • €581,963,500 – Loss to Irish Government from illegal tobacco in 2012
  • €1,594,420 – Loss to Irish Government from illegal tobacco per day
  • €234,929,247 – Money made by criminals from illegal tobacco in 2012 in Ireland
  • €643,642 – Money made by criminals from illegal tobacco per day in Ireland
  • €16,818 – Money made by criminals from illegal tobacco per hour in Ireland
  • 28.2 per cent is non Irish duty paid in 2012 – 18.4% illegal / 9.6% non Irish duty paid
  • 1,601,000,000 – Amount of NIDP cigarettes consumed in Ireland in 2012
A spokesperson said that "last year the government increased VAT and excise again and the illegal tobacco market has soared."
Oh Debs, keep digging that f*****g great hole baby. They will keep believing her until her dying day because they are so bigoted, so wrapped up in their own self importance that they actually believe every single word she speaks!
She also says that there was a:
"2008 agreement to employ covert markings on cigarette packets"
as if that has ever mattered to our smuggling heroes who show this country up for the stupidity they are showing over tobacco products. Green or brown packets won't matter to these boys as our government makes it even easier to get cigarettes to kids and make vast profits into the bargain! And the Arnott says that the tobacco industry :
"constantly misrepresent the figures"
Oh, righty ho then! Look in the mirror Debs! Oh-and this:
"Smuggling has halved in the last decade"
Whilst the drum beating continues unabated  it is obvious that the anti smoking mob have either complertely missed this report or simply decided to ignore it! It seems that smoking bans have no effect on lung cancer cases:
Nearly 80% of people diagnosed with lung cancer now, in 2012, are non-smokers. All of the anti-smoking campaigns imaginable are not going to make a difference for this 80%.
The important point to note is simply that 80% of lung cancer cases are non attributable to smoking, or sniffing SHS, or even snorting up the furniture tapestry (3rd/H/S anyone?) Oh bring it on Dr Kitty Little, the scientist who correlated diesel fumes and the rise in heavy industry with lung cancers. You have to ask yourself why the medical/scientific world ignored her work but the answer my friends is very simple-it didn't suit the Godber blueprint! This excellent article by Martin Hensman might point you in the right direction!
They talk about misdirection and throw all manner of accusations at the tobacco industry but all the time increase tobacco taxes so as to keep the revenue pouring into Treasury coffers. They speak with forked tongue for they would crap themselves if everyone said 'I'm quitting smoking', equally if every smoker bought their tobacco from abroad or, better still, grew their own.' and I would say "good for them, go for it", for the way smokers have been villified these last 5 years is despicable. In a democratic society the persecution of smokers has shown what power the pharmaceutical industry wield. Arnott et al complain that anyone objecting to her and her cohorts actions must be in the pay of 'Big Tobacco', yet they are all funded by Big Pharma who are simply in it for the financial gains. Pfizer were fined $60,000,000 for a decade of fraud & deception-but were they bothered? I don't think so. So who is the more corrupt?
