Smoking Bans KILL Businesses - FACT!

      You have to hand it to those Yanks, they've done it again yet this time they have created all the proof we ever needed (if we ever needed it) that STRESS is the biggest killer of all time. The smoker hating BHF babble on about cancer causing heart attacks, strokes, illnesses, deaths, terminal illnesses etc yet STRESS has always been the biggest cause of strokes & heart attacks and people's general lack of well being. And who could argue with that as governments worldwide continue their war on smokers/smoking as if the humble cigarette is the 'be all & end all' of mortalities.

     We now find, from those very good people in Ohio (the Ohio State University actually), that stress help all those naughty little cancer genes to gallop around the body mutating at a much greater rate than they normally would-if they would at all ! Strange then that smoking is recognised as one of the greatest 'de-stressors' of all time! Professor Tsonwin Hai said:  

"If your body does not help cancer cells, they cannot spread as far. So really, the rest of the cells in the body help cancer cells to move, to set up shop at distant sites. And one of the unifying themes here is stress."

     Her researchers first linked the expression of ATF3 in immune-system cells to worse outcomes among a sample of almost 300 breast cancer patients. Experiments on mice then found those lacking the gene had less extensive spread of breast tumour cells to their lungs than ones that could activate it. So there you have it folks, governments purposely kill their electorate by simply implementing ridiculous, dictatorial laws that allow no freedom of choice! And the people 'who' should really be in the dock on a charge of causing mass murder are the likes of Margaret Chan all the way down to Arnott for persecuting smokers (who won't necessarily hold court to cancer) and enhancing their demise. So, where are plod to arrest these inciters of death, where are the European Courts of human rights to allow smokers to live, unmolested, in mentally stable societies that won't cause this abominable trigger system that enhances cancer cells to rampage and kill?
I have been having a most enjoyable exchange of words with one of my local MEPs, Mr Bill Newton Dunn (an ilLib-unDem for his sins) who cannot understand how I can possibly be 'for' those who choose to smoke when 'we know that smoking kills so many people each year'. I asked for proof of lives saved and received this  highly informed answer "How do you measure lives saved ?" Exactly! It cannot be done, therefore to state that all these anti tobacco measures WILL save lives is totally fallacious-but then that is all that TC do-mislead people, simply look at my 'lead portrait' on every blog! So far I have rebutted every argument that he has put forward but one thing he said has stuck in my claws -

"Politics is about elected representatives using their judgment to improve society. "

 Now what part of that statement proves that people like 'BND' are fair minded (LibDem don't forget) and are out to improve society when they happily vote for any tobacco restrictions knowing that it is going to cause more resentment and more hatred from the 25% who enjoy tobacco? Of course 'BND' uses the fact that members of his family have died from cancer-tell me a family that HASN'T lost a relative to cancer and I'll show you a liar! With the latest forecast that almost one-in-two of us will contract some form of cancer or other by 2020 it is an impossiblity for any family NOT to be 'crossed' by the disease-even Prof Jill Pell couldn't avoid that assumption - no matter how much she twisted her figures  ! Ask her here if she could manage to do so? (the answer might be interesting).
On the opposite side of the coin is another study that conclusively proves that smoking improves work situations/performances. Now there's a thing!

After 40 years of scientific research on the effects of nicotine, researchers now say that they have sound scientific proof that smoking and nicotine have a significant positive effect on human brain performance.

     As I said, now there's a thing! All the years of negativity about tobacco yet there is conclusive proof that the brain works better with nicotine. Oh dear me, I'll bet that little intrusion into the TC world has not been welcomed at all. Another statement that Chan and all/any of her cohorts cannot rebutt is the fact that as smoking rates decreased over the past 50 years, cancer rates rapidly increased-WHY? What possible reason can there have been for such an anomaly? The only conclusion that can be drawn is that tobacco is NOT the major cause of cancers and funnily enough CRUK's head honcho has now elevated Air Pollution to the top of the tree! This makes total sense as Camoron is still trying to sidestep £300,000,000's worth of fines from those thieves over in the EU imposed because our Air Pollution has failed all purity tests miserably! Yet the Dept of Health still speaw out the lies despite the truth being so obviously 'out there' - 3rd response from Sam Darnell has just confirmed the truth..... the the D o H are blatant liars!
     What is little mentioned by the media is the fact that the cost of implementing this ludicrous smoking ban is spiralling out of control as it amounts to roughly£1/2bn per month. 

     Now we have seen an upsurge in prosecutions of shisha bars over the past 6 months as local councils and their avaricious troops (otherwise known as EHOs) are making as much money out of prosecuting these businesses as they possibly can. Nasbouk was recently contacted by "The Economist" for an interview regarding the facts about shisha bars/cafes/lounges and a full, in depth explanation was given regarding the financial imput by the owners of such businesses, the horrendous impact of the smoking ban & the affects the ban is having on the Asian communities. NOT ONE WORD of this was mentioned! It was if "The Economist" (supposedly the name would infer financial matters of the economy) couldn't dare to mention the costs of this ridiculous law. The costs, it seems, is taboo. The cost, it seems, is irrelevant as the WHO (Warped in the Head Orgainsation) have demanded that tobacco be eradicated-mind you, 40 years ago they demanded that the illegal usage of drugs be eradicated and look where that got them!
     Interestingly nasbouk have now published their in depth survey of shisha businesses-it does not make pretty reading. The headliner screams at you:

92% of the shisha community DO NOT trust government - and who can blame them?

An in depth survey carried out by nasbouk.co.uk (National Association of Shisha Bar Owners) found that 92% of shisha business owners no longer trust government and 100% think that government should compensate them for their losses as the smoking ban is totally discriminatory!

     The full survey can be read here and has been sent to many media sources but whether any will have the balls to actually print the survey or truthfully report on the survey is a different matter for as I've already pointed out - the costs just don't seem to matter anymore! One Asian gentleman remarked that this situation was "Uganda all over again" - and didn't Britain create merry bloody hell about Idi Amin and his dictatorship ways?

     And just to keep the old 'taste buds' flowing, the Working Mens Clubs survey will be released sometime next month. It was presented in the Club Journal to mark the sixth anniversary of this wondrous law that has still seen approximately 500,000 deaths per annum-despite smokefree everywhere! It will be very interesting to see what the clubs have to say after six years of forced socialising-forced to be without many of their mates that is! Also, interestingly, many hundreds of clubs have gone since July 1st, 2007 so you see folks, it's not just the pubs that are suffering!

     It matters not whether you smoke or not, the truth is that the smoking ban has to be amended to accept all people in order for this country to survive financially. Whilst the imbeciles (no names mentioned of course) try to lobby the EU for even more restrictions this country sinks further & further into the financial abyss. No one has yet come up with  viable alternative to the vast amounts of revenue that will be lost to this nations Treasury should these loons have their evil way and the EU simply don't care as they are too busy furnishing their own houses with 'carpets of gold'.
Mind you, I suppose that they could always employ smokers to lay those carpets as smokers are far better, far more alert workers!

     So who needs Camoron, Clegg or any of the otherS who waste their time in the House of Commons trying to sort out this countries many problem-most of which were created by this governments predecessors who also sat in the House of Commons, but purposefully set about destroying this country bit by bit! I only need to mention the Human Rights Act & Immigration and it won't take you long to join up the dots to see where Blair got us, and worse still, where we are going to end up. Bankrupt.
     There are many who attend that chamber who shouldn't be there, for varying reasons too. Many of them are elected because they are of the red persuasion, many because of the blue area they are 'standing in' come election time and some for the simple reason that the voters want neither red nor blue. The common denominator is that once they attain this MP status they simply forget all about their constituents and do whatever they feel like doing, vote the way they think things should be not what their consituents (who actually put them there) think.

     We now have a prime example of such an insidious creature. A woman that has gone from reading the news to creating the news - by flitting off to Luxembourg to 'do her own thing' under the guise of representing this country. Why is she still in a job?

Anna Soubry has left the studios that gave out the news and, off her own bat (though I bet we paid for the flights etc) tootled off to Luxembourg to assure a group of people that they have OUR support for even more tobacco control, even though we have shelved the ridiculous plain packing idea. It appears that we don't need the other 600+ MPs any more as "SuperSoubs" is a one woman government!

     Broxtowe is an area of nigh on 70,000 voters and she only scraped in by 309 votes but I'll wager that she never asked one of the 70,000 or even one of the 309 who ensured her election if they minded her doing her own thing in Luxembourg. She certainly never asked any of the seven people I know in the Nottingham area. There are plenty of smokers in Nottingham and I would imagine that when this bit of news gets around the place, attitudes toward her will change dramatically!
     Bill Cash (House of Commons European Scrutiny Committee) is rightly furious that this junior minister of no real consequence has simply sidestepped his committee and gone striding off to Luxembourg with so much as a by-your-leave. When does she "get her cards" for such gross misconduct I ask?
As Liberal Vision states: 

 "Quite how one woman – sticking two fingers up to the UK democratic process – was able to waltz into a room and declare she was negotiating on behalf of the United Kingdom – when, in fact she clearly had no authority to do so whatsoever -  will be beyond most people’s comprehension."

And as our friend Chris Snowdon says:

  "The problem with Anna Soubry is not that she is necessarily a bad person. In another role, she may have some merits (and I have defended her once before). She is, however, a politician and is the latest in an unbroken line of inexperienced MPs parachuted into the superfluous role of Minister for Public Health, a junior position created in the late 1990s. The list of previous occupants is a Who's Who? of where-are-they-now? non-entities such as Dawn Primarolo and Caroline Flint. Like those before her, Soubry wants to make a name for herself and 'public health' offers plenty of headline-grabbing opportunities to do so."

     Anna Soubry is simply the latest 'caped crusader' who thinks she holds the salvation card to the nations smokers-who aren't actually a problem but have been demonised to such an extent that people now genuinely think they must be a problem!      Who's next?
      I remember when the Shisha bars/cafes/lounges were first ever mentioned as an exemption as they were/are purpose built businesses-the purpose being that smokers united to... err..... smoke socially. Flint was invited by a business owner, holding a shisha pipe, to try shisha and promptly started screaming like a Banshee "They're trying to kill me, they're trying to kill me" before scuttling off down the Edgware Road! Of course, the shisha owner was trying to do no such thing and was totally bewildered, but the Flint creature was simply trying to amplify the non existent point that SHS kills-shame really that she didn't run into the middle of the Edgware Road-amid all those marvellously healthy, invigorating exhaust fumes then she she could have really 'felt the force'!
     Talking of shisha businesses it is now abundantly clear that local councils are hell-bent on eradicating such empires as the latest prosecution was for allowing smoking to occur in a tent! Yes, a tent. A rather large tent actually, a marquee which was deemed as an enclosed space by Tower Hamlets local council EHOs.
Now we all know that a tent is a piece of equipment used for pleasure but the owner used it as a premises for his shisha business-silly boy. We already know just how corrupt the system has become with regard to any possible smoking related prosecution so I am very surprised that Mr Dabir Ahmed even thought he would get away with this silly attempt at swerving the law. Bless him, his efforts cost him £1,225 + the inevitable costs for his efforts.
Tower Hamlets (starring role in the short film "Ghetto's of London") is the area where certain loonies decided they would be implementing Sharia Law-and probably the same place that a much needed uprising of the people of this country will begin!
     I say "a much needed uprising will begin" because it now transpires (despite all protestations beforehand) that the anti smoking brigade are now complaining that non-smokers have to endure endless columns of putrid, all enveloping, death delivering plumes of smoke in beer gardens-in nice weather! Well upon my soul, where else are smokers supposed to go? As complainants have been told at my local pub, "if you don't like sitting out here because of the smokers then go inside where they are not allowed". It's as simple as that. If people han't moaned so much about smokers and then got the pubs to themselves then we wouldn't have this apparent problem now.

     Of course a beer garden is for the use of ALL patrons of a public house-not just the chosen few, so for the very few that do complain about smokers I simply say, "look, you got what you wanted, you got smokers expelled from the pubs so why do you feel the need to sit out here with them? You don't need sunshine, you got your little ray of sunshine as from July 1st, 2007!" I suppose we will have to have a parliamentary debate on this matter as well, but this is what this stupid law created-and it need never have been like this.
     We need massive support for Philip Hollobone's (MP) Private Members Bill to be introduced in the autumn for this is to have the smoking ban amended so as to allow the decreasing number of Working Mens Clubs to use a separate room for smokers. And before you all start screaming about staff, there is a thing called choice ..... it's something that occurs in a democratic society (though I'm not sure what Camoron's interpretation of DEMOCRACY actually is?) WMCs are struggling to survive. 
They are the places where people of all ilks go to socialise, as decreed by one Reverend Henry Solly some 150 years ago. WMCs were once thriving businesses but although they have declined slightly since the late '80's', the smoking ban has electrified that decline since 2007! Read all about the clubs in this excellent book, you'll be amazed at just how much you DIDN'T know. More than 700 clubs have successfully claimed business rebates, which tells you just how much damage the smoking ban has done and is still doing!
     Of course we all now know just how much of a coward David Camoron (Hitler did at least have one ball !) is as far as defending his people goes. OK, so plain packaging has been shelved but so has our supposed refendum on the completely corrupt EU. And while he has ministers, junior ministers, backroom staff, cleaners & waste bin emptiers galloping around europe on missions of mercy with regard to possible cigarette legislation in the future and, worse still,  doing that 'galloping' as they see fit, then we can be assured that this country will sink even further into the abyss. 
Perhaps "SuperSoubs" thinks that with plain packaging coming into being, the entire world will be saved..... but until then she should be sacked!

     I've sat here for the past couple of weeks watching as this country disintegrates into a total shambles. Yes, I totally agree that the failings in our hospitals are a disgrace and that people have acted wrongly but let's turn the clock back a little bit fiurther shall we?
Who declared that hospitals should come under a sort of 'time & motion' set up where cost evaluations superceded patient care? Who declared that each "A&E" patient should be seen in 'x' minutes? In other words, who put our wonderful hospital staff under such pressures?
     Governments, that's who! I was reliably informed by a most eminent gentleman at my local hospital that they now boasted three managers to one bed. How can this be I ask? When I was a mere sprat, Matron ruled the ward, the bay, the bed-end of story, so where have all these highly paid, ineffectual, namby pamby managers come from? Why is it that hospitals ran smoothly years ago but nowadays all you hear about are tragic deaths due to a cock-up of some sort or other or a lack of staff because budgets rule?

 

     A trusted lady friend once started work at a hospital where she was told that her duties involved checking/changing oxygen pipe tubing, tissue box replacements, linen cupboard organisation etc etc. She found it very boring indeed. One fine day she went to help an old lady with her dinner as she was struggling with the cutlery; bad mistake! She was promptly hauled away and told, in no uncertain terms, that such actions were not part of her job description and that if she had nothing to do for the next thirty minutes or so she had best 'look busy' by walking around the hospital for half an hour! She left the job altogether as she simply could not get her head around the fact that helping another, less able bodied person, was not in her job description. And that is what has gone wrong with our wonderful and much revered NHS service folks - too many "Chief's", too many rules/regulations and too few "Indians"!(and don't anyone start screaming racist at that turn of phrase thank you). Thanks to the idiotic American culture that's finally arrived of su-ing anyone for anything, everybody is afraid to step out of line for fear of legal redress-helping people has become secondary. Health & Safety has crippled this country and "risk assessments" have sliced the nations crutches in half. 

"A FURIOUS coroner has attacked paramedics who left an accident victim drowning in a ditch because they did not want to breach health and safety rules."

     Now let's get a grip here folks, if my son, brother, cousin, whatever, had died because of the lack of attention of the medical team (ie, not getting him out of the ditch) then I'm afraid that they would be hospitalised for some considerable time for as the Coroner stated: 

“I was brought up in a country where men risked their own lives to save the lives of others. That was a period in our history which has almost ceased.” (MIchael Rose, Coroner)

     Here's another priceless H&S gem that cost a life!

     But, sadly, we are now a nation of namby-pamby's. Even a government report states the obvious when it found that normal children's activities such as climbing trees, playing in mud, camping out in the back garden were now parts of growing up that were fast disappearing! While 57% of their parents were members of the Scouts or Brownies, only 16% of today's youngsters sign-up and over a quarter (28%) admit they probably would not let their children climb a tree! What a sad state of "cotton wool" kids we have reared. Congratulations to all those sickly, spineless 'do-gooders' that appeared in the 70's who wanted to protect everyone from everything! Have you seen the "Risk Assessment" form that now goes with the application to perform a 'Charity Walk' on a nice quiet Sunday morning? Page after page of them yet you walk those same streets, roads, paths everyday of your life as a part of your normal daily routine! They have created a whole industry out of Health & Safety cobblers advice, mostly in areas where simple common sense should prevail.
     For those that can't see whats coming I suggest you nip over to Detroit and have a 'looksee', for my American friends tell me that if you fly over there and spend a couple of hundred dollars you could end up as the cities 'hero of the day'-so impoverished has Detroit become! You may have guessed already that Detroit has 'filed for bankruptcy'; except a local judge has halted the proceedings saying that it is some sort of insult to the president (hilarious) ..... which one I ask? You really ought to read the 25 reasons why Detroit is now 'less than half a Detroit'! Look how hard the Michigan anti smokeban protestors have been fighting-to no avail as more & more businesses close down. Beware folks, whatever happens in America ..... we follow like sheep! Point No 10 stands out like a sore thumb which says:  "Less than half of the residents of Detroit over the age of 16 are working at this point." Now this is a sore point with some because we are, slowly but surely, going to arrive at the same situation in this country as we allow more and more immigrants into this country.     
     We sit here today with unemployment rising to 2.52m yet we are told that we need more immigrants to fill the jobs that are vacant ..... but there are NOT 2.52m vacancies (808,000 actually)!           However, we find that the EU are happily stabbing us in the back by offering EU workers £900 if they get a job in THIS country! And we still have idiots in powerful positions telling us that WE NEED to be part of a more corrupt society than the one we already belong to!

On the other hand we have the Camoron telling us "that immigration represents a constant drain on Britain's public services." Well folks, it would seem that all that Oxford education wasn't wasted after all as the obvious is spouted from the mouth of 'the chosen one' - well, we did elect him didn't we. The problem is that 'the chosen one' speaks with forked tongue! He spouts referendum, but since his little parlais with the Bilderberg mobsters he will NOT be honouring his vows with regard to a referendum. 

Maggie Thatcher, a female recently laid to rest bless her, had 'balls', this "man" possesses none. He is not a power for the people at all, he is simply another puppet happy to go along with all the namby-pamby, arse licking wannabe world leaders who think that a united world is the 'be all & end all' of humanity. Well guess what folks it isn't-and here's a prime example of why it isn't!

 

Dorothy Griffiths - died because of another's religious belief!

     Abdul Bhutto, an agency nurse, told junior staff they would have to wait to tend to Dorothy Griffiths until he finished praying, ie, before he would attend to 87-year-old Dorothy  Griffiths, who died nine days later. Mrs Griffiths, who suffered from  Alzheimer’s, was left on the floor while the Muslim nurse continued to pray on his mat. Do these dopey, so called, world leaders think that they are going to conquer religious fanaticism like this and unite the world? I don't think so for incidents like this (and there are plenty of them that go unreported) only serve to fuel people's dislike of Muslim ideals & practices further toward hatred. People who can happily drag frightened, screaming animals onto a concrete killing block, or into a metal head vice so as to cut their throats, allowing them to bleed to death are seriously sick in the head. How do you civilise or Westernise a barbaric culture like this? You can't, it's as simple as that yet we are allowing more and more immigrants (a big percentage of them Muslim) into this country, a country that will soon lose it's identity! But this country's been doing that since the 1970's when the 'do-gooders' got a foot in the door and it has got so bad now that you daren't say 'Good morning' to some people lest they take offence. No wonder we are fast becoming a 'dog eat dog' nation of people, who have no chance of progressing for the simple reason that the large numbers of immigrants coming here are forcing us to regress.
We even have the World health Organisation interfering with our human rights as they have now, after many years of trying, got a religious leader to condemn shisha pipe smoking by him declaring a "fatwa". Not only has this so called eminent man banned shisha pipe smoking but also “prohibited from providing shisha-smoking services or any activity associated with shisha”.

Margaret Chan must be almost orgasmic at that result for they (the WHO) have fed Prof Emeritus Tan Sri Dr Abdul Shukor Husin with all the anti-smoking bilge and (probably) non of the actual truth. I pity the poor people of Malaysia for who knows what punishments will be meted out to those who fancy a smoke! 
     But then truth doesn't matter to the WHO anymore, their proposed endgame does-but the question arises yet again: "if smoking rates are declining, then why are cancer cases continually rising?" They don't want you to ask that one folks as they cannot lie about that.
     Perhaps the WHO actually think that by eradicating smoking there will be no illnesses, thus no need for hospitals anymore and therefore no more 'cost evalutions' which completely overshadow patient care it seems!

     Well, well, well folks, it seems that it takes a man of integrity to finally spout the truth we have all known for nearly twenty years - Smoking is NOT the biggest single cause of Lung Cancer!

Dr Harpal Kumar said that while the number of smokers is falling, which is leading to an overall reduction in the number of those developing lung cancer, there are still a steady 6,000 people developing the disease who do not smoke.

     So, smoking rates are supposedly decreasing (government likes to think so at any rate) yet lung cancer rates are not - well there's a thing! Apparently there are 6,000 new LC cases per annum but less smokers to blame it on, so asbestos & AIR POLLUTION has suddenly appeared in the mix! Now isn't this exactly what Dr Kitty Little was banging on about in the 1980's & 90's ..... but was ignored because her views didn't suit political agenda - especially Godbers plan of lies & deceits! I cannot remember how many times I have cited this woman's work, always to be ignored but now the 'famous' Kumar's have taken up the mantle of truth then it must be so!

It is very easy to see why her work was always put to one side for she stated the obvious:-

• tobacco smoke contains no carcinogens, while diesel fumes contain four known carcinogens; (hmmm, I thinks that's now debatable folks!)
• that lung cancer is rare in rural areas, but common in towns;
• that cancers are more prevalent along the routes of motorways;
• that the incidence of lung cancer has doubled in non-smokers over past decades;
• and that there was less lung cancer when we, as a nation, smoked more.

      Pointing out that there has been evidence for over 40 years that smoking does not cause lung cancer, Dr Little says:

"Since the effect of the anti-smoking campaign has been to prevent the genuine cause from being publicly acknowledged, there is a very real sense in which we could say that the main reason for those 30,000 deaths a year from lung cancer is the anti-smoking campaign itself".

     Pretty damning I'd say, wouldn't you? In trying to force a false agenda onto people by mindbending (not to mention moving goalposts on a monthly basis to avoid massive EU fines) it would appear to me that government themselves are liable for many deaths since Kitty Little announced the truth..... which was promptly subdued!
     So now we know just how corrupt governments can be and how much more corrupt they are likely to be in future years. After all, how many idiot MPs, totally ignorant of the truth were suckered into that "FREE VOTE" on the reformed 2006 Health Act where ASH played them like puppets on a string? Actually 453 puppets were taken in by the so called 'experts' who savaged SHS as the biggest killer of all time-some 'experts' eh? The biggest problem now is that having made this horrendous law by virtue of being hoodwinked by so called 'experts', government are going to need a bucketful of courage to admit that they were duped in the first place!  Smoking bans KILL businesses-FACT!

     
     Yesterday was, as fellow blogger Dick Puddlecote describes, a good day for not only was Plain Packaging chucked in good old Dusty Bin, but the minimum price proposal for alcohol went with it.

 

     The first was the brainchild of those ever demanding fruitcakes from Tobacco Control-who originally promised us that they only wanted to ban smoking on short haul flights of 2hrs or less (see, they even lied at the very start of their campaign!). Plain packaging was subject to a public consultation-well, supposedly but as usual, government twisted things around to suit themselves-much to the annoyance of Fatty Arbuckle Abbot who. when interviewed yesterday promptly proclaimed that this government were killing 'x zillion' children every day by not imposing plain packaging.

     Now I would have thought, as she is the shadow health minister, that she would have very little to shout about considering her gross stature! After all we are looking at an extravagantly fed lump that is well into obesity yet said fat lump is extolling the lack of health options now removed by this government! The uselessly biased BBC did their utmost to conceal their grief on the matter as Simon Clark kindly points out over at Taking Liberties.

     You will note that Diane Abbott amplifies the point that 53% were in favour of PP when in fact that was only the government filled survey that she was talking about. Now this "Public Consultation survey" was not easy to find I can tell you but find it I did, as did 2423 others (see page 14 here sorry DP, nicked this bit from you!). As you can imagine, a significant proportion of the 1,350+ pro PP 'filler-innerers' will be state-funded bodies or individuals rounded up by the likes of Arnott, Duffy etc so as to bolster their side of things. But that still leaves over a thousand goodly souls who bothered themselves to say cobblers! More interestingly (I think anyway), is that 'THE' public consultation, despite much garnering & falsifying of votes by TC ended up with a resounding victory for common sense; ie the common man! Arnott, Duffy, Dockrell, Farren et al must have been mortified to find that they had been slaughtered by almost 2-1 as more than 422,000 "NO" votes rolled into town. Even all their skulduggery only managed to poll slightly less than a mere quarter of a million votes-some drubbing eh! I'll bet the Arnott was puking in her bedwarming-pan after all her vicious scheming & plotting was rejected. Mind you, why this evil bitch is still being paid the exorbitant amount she is paid is totally beyond this writer!

     It's truly hilarious watching the TC mob squirm, especially as this report has now surfaced which states categorically that:

"I discovered the evidence was really weak," explained lead author Ronald Bayer, a professor at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. "The evidence of harm to non-smokers on the beach or in a park from someone smoking is virtually non-existent." 

     Ooh, Debbie baby, eat your rotten, self indulgent & well overpaid heart out! There it is..... THE TRUTH!

     Smoking bans are imposed because a small number of people dislike the smell of burning tobacco therefore they have abused the positions they have attained by imposing their miserable, intolerant  lifestyles on anyone who dares to smoke-Godber being a prime example! But are they right to do so?

     Here's a little gem from a Dr Mike Knapton (h/t Sean S) who openly discusses the fact that air pollution is dire,  and says "it is ... reasonable to consider that air pollution may have made some contribution to the earlier deaths of up to 200,000 people in 2008." Now you have to take on board the fact that the reviled BHS (who sack smokers) have known of this all along yet complain and lobby only against smokers ! Stress is the biggest cause of heart attacks (and other problems) yet people such as the BHF only want to tell you about possible harms from smoking!

     Ralph Tarrant, now Britains oldest living person (110) smoked until he was 70..... 40 years ago! Hopefully we don't have to put up with the Arnott until she is 70! When she gets cremated she will be gone in a puff of smoke-how ironic eh! Ralph gave up smoking when he felt it right to do so, not when some 'nannyist pussy' decided that he should-and that's how it should be folks, after all, everyman is the father of his own destiny! It's in the genes. Some people live very short lives and some, like Ralph, live very long lives. Some people are very thin and some are Diane Abbotts. Some are 5ft or less and some wander the streets at a lofty 6ft 4inches, it's all in the genes and no one can dictate at birth what another persons life will be. 

     Madam Calment who reached 120 yrs enjoyed a life that included alcohol, cigarettes, chocolates and sweets. As well as her sweet tooth, she was fond of cheap red wine, fois gras and a rich local stew.

     After such a long life her doctors advised her, at 117 if you please, to give up smoking & drinking port. This typifies the ridiculous thought patterns of these people fo at the age of 117 who would actually care if their number was up today, tomorrow or 27 days down the line? I would have thought that the government would have been delighted when she finally left us-just think how much she cost in benefits since retiring!

     More good news comes as we hear that Romania follows Poland against EU call to ban menthol & slim cigarettes. Hallelujah baby, common sense prevails once again. Why single out menthol fags? Any ideas out there? Why single out slim cigarettes unless this is a direct attack on female smokers. The Poles objected because it costed their economy too much..... one day, just one day our government will actually sit back and count the costs to this country. £34bn if anyones interested! £34bn that could have easily been diverted to our ailing, failing NHS where doctors & nurses are ever increasingly put under more and more pressure by desk jockeys on ramped up wages that serve very little actual purpose in our hospitals. But we will founder on until the inevitable happens-BANKRUPTCY.

 

We started with a bit of Abbott & Costello, minus the Costello bit of course, and we'll finish with a bit of comedy that would have done the pair proud-except that this really does show the depths to which the people of this country have plummeted.

     These are just the sort of people that this nation DOESN'T need as, Health & Safety nutters now roam in packs, EHOs want everyone to grass everyone else up (irrespective of job losses), killjoys  (and turds like these 'infamous five') moan their little bedsocks off because someone is happy in their work. If Kirby & West would like to furnish me with the complainants addresses I'll happily deliver a 4 pinter to each house-straight through the letterbox! 

Despite all the comedy, above listed, we do have to finish on a joyous note folks! Sorry, but I'm afraid we do 

Remember a  certain seaside town that became the "Green Town"? Yep, you got it right, good old Brighton, where the only poliutical argument was whether they be Red or they be Green.

Well folks, a minor upset was caused by the good burgers of  Hanover & Elm region as this result shows!

     The Red mob have sneaked past the Green mob again in what is basically a two horse race but have a look at the 3rd & 4th places.      

     The Tories 'held' onto 3rd place by a mere 25 votes from UKIP - and this in an area where UKIP expected absolutely nothing!

     And if you look a bit further down; ie, to the very bottom, you will see that the almost now defunct ilLiberal-unDems amassed a whole 56 votes from just over 3,000 voters - good job you've got that retirement pension to look forward to Nick   

Clegg is as useless as the Abbott creature, who felt the need to bleat on endlessly about losing the PP lawmaking proposition, perhaps after the next elections, when hopefully both will be out on their ear, they can team up as the new double act:- Abbott & Clegello!
