The truth will out!

At long last we have a Councillor who is not afraid to speak the truth-that smokers are being relentlessly victimised by a government that suddenly feels nothing for the 25% now discriminated against. Councillor Ann Holland spoke out as council members discussed whether cigarette packets should be put in plain packets to put children off smoking.
To start with, what the hell are council officials doing wasting public time & money debating something that is already being ‘debated’ by Lansley’s chosen acolytes from the anti tobacco colony of termites. I say termites because they run around each other in every direction possible, supporting whatever the latest anti tobacco strategy/statement or flight of fancy that comes along. Indeed, they are ‘consulting’ on plain packaging right now, but consulting with whom? Fellow termites that’s who for they don’t allow any other into their ‘public consultations’ except those already highly overpaid & underworked in the tobacco arm of the Ministry of corruption Health! The fact that Lansley has already declared his hand makes the consultation irrelevant, as does hiding cigarettes behind shutters and sliding doors for now, apparently, plain packaging is the topic of utmost severity-so I ask again, why are Thameside Council even discussing the subject?
The good Councillor then declared,
I did smoke while pregnant. I am really sick and tired of the smoker being victimised all the time. I have got two kids that I smoked with and they were in my company until they went to school. Not one of my children ever had a bad chest and still don’t, they are both healthy kids.”
Oh dear me, I can easily visualise the shock/horror she caused with that statement, I’ll bet the medical profession were coming out of all possible holes in the woodwork! And they did.....
Prof Ashley Woodcock, a consultant respiratory physician from Wythenshawe Hospital, said Councillor Woodcock’s statements were not based on facts. He said,
“I would say that statement is irresponsible. Babies whose mothers smoke are smaller and they have more pregnancy complications on average. The children whose parents smoke often have respiratory diseases – it’s an inarguable health hazard for children. I’m pleased her children are OK but they’re lucky if they are.”
Let’s also consider these facts then Professor Ashley Woodcock:
Ann Holland, who retires in 3 years time is one of those 1950’s ‘Baby Boom’ children. Now it seems to me that there an awful lot of us around, which is exactly why government is poo-ing it’s collective pants & panties over the burden on the Welfare State. I may also draw the silly professors brown nose to the fact that smoker prevalence was at its highest (about 71%-72%) in the fifties but has been declining (naturally I might add) decade after decade since then. I don't smoke ff away to their hearts content.....and I'm still here! Both of Ann’s offspring are healthy (I'm healthy), Ann is healthy and has been a Councillor for 23 years. In all that time people have been smoking around her yet she’s still here.

I happen to know plenty of non smoking mothers who have produced weedy, sickly little babies; the professor is trying to play the numbers game here! I also know plenty of non smokers who suffer from asthma and some from bronchitis-again the professor is simply playing the numbers game; but then the anti tobacco loons are excellent at cherry picking figures to suit-Jill Pell springs to mind!
I shouldn’t need to remind the absent minded professor but I will; 'the inarguable health hazard for children' is that which belches out clouds of filthy, dirty, toxic exhaust fumes at toddler & pushchair height 24-7! Yes, diesel exhaust fumes, which contain a million times more poisonous toxins than any cigarette and from their first journey outside of delivery room pureness. For those that want to know the truth I suggest they familiarise themselves with the lifelong work of Dr Kitty Little who found that cancers accelerated with industrialisation and the increase in diesel usage-now there’s a thing!
And then we have the obligatory
I’m pleased her children are OK but they’re lucky if they are.”
This is the now typical medical ‘tongue in cheek’ threat that conveys the wonder of anyone surviving being remotely near a lit, burning cigarette. Well, as a non smoker I can confirm that this indeed total utter hogwash/crap/bilge/rubbish or whatever terminology you may want to use. We also have the idiot Dr Douglas Noble’s absolutely priceless contribution to savour
it would be safer to have your exhaust pipe on the inside of your car than smoke a cigarette, in terms of fine particulate matter released. And evidence suggests rolling down the window doesn't eliminate the problem." ( Dr Douglas Noble, from the BMA's public health committee)
Stupidity doesn’t come much better or desperate than that! What a wonderous advocate for tobacco control-and so well paid for idiocy too!
Dr Kailash Chand, who actually qualified in India, but the chairman of NHS Tameside and Glossop, said:
“A woman who smokes when pregnant has more chance of miscarrying, more chance of having a baby with problems, more chance of having a child with health problems when they’re older. It’s lucky if one person doesn’t have problems, or their children don’t have problems – just luck.”
Then please tell me Dr Chand, just why was there such a baby boom in the 1950’s when over 70% smoked, why are we all living longer (much to the chagrin of the governments welfare state finances  and why, apart from immigration, are we now seeing another baby boom even though 25% still choose to smoke? Dr Chand describes the same natal problems that stress brings-and just how much stress are these lunatic lifestyle guru’s heaping on people just because they choose to smoke or eat kebabs/burgers etc or even have the temerity to drink four or five pints of a night? Amazing also is just how much a cigarette can relieve stress!
The bottom line is that this brave lady spoke out against an establishment hell bent on dictating lifestyle choices. There are many more that dare not speak out for fear of retribution of one form or another so SmokersJustice.co.uk applaud  Mrs Ann Holland for speaking the truth for she raises one very important question:
“If everyone gives up smoking and alcohol where’s the government going to find the £46bn in tax that they get?”
Her comments received a mixed response from council colleagues, with some criticising (just look at some of the pathetic comments underneath the article!)and some applauding her speech.
Indeed, what would all the health loonies do without that £46bn each year?

Sticking it to them!

hat tip to a good friend
It had to happen sooner or later, public retaliation I mean, though not quite the way I expected. However, from a little acorn doth the mighty oak grow!

A UK website has started selling stickers, which you place over the silly pictures that government has now deemed essential on all cigarette packets-even though they have to be hidden from view in supermarkets now(?!) This, naturally, has caused the health freaks to throw a wobbly and the comments are 'oh so predictable' and oh so boring' (yawn!) zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Let's see, we have the charity No Smoking Day  who have urged people not to buy the stickers.  Its spokeswoman Doreen McIntyre said:
"It is quite amusing but I think the important thing is that this is a demonstration of how disrupting these health warnings are."

Yes it is amusing and, happily, a complete slap in the kisser to all those despicable health freaks who care not a jot for 25% of the populations freedoms of enjoyment or choice! She then says, which is hilarious

"They are causing smokers to feel that they need to cover them up"
Excuse me? What exactly have government passed a law telling supermarkets what they have to do now? Oh yes, cover cigarettes up, hide them behind great big sliding doors-how hypocrisy doth shine! Doreen finishes with the obvious statement of pleading:
"My advice to smokers would be don't buy these stickers. Spend your money on nicotine replacement therapies instead and give up."
But why would smokers want to waste money on something that has a 98.4% FAILURE rate and no enjoyment factor when they can spend their money on what they want and have 100% success/enjoyment? Anyway, the stickers are far cheaper than the useless NRT!

Naturally the heavy artillery was brought into play as the 'bin Laden' of anti smoking was asked her opinion and needless to say the terrorist leader spouted the same old tripe:
"These labels do not strike me as being funny. Telling people that smoking is cool is a dangerous message. That's why people take it up"
she said. See...even the 'bin Arnott' considers that smoking looks cool! I don't think that adorning cigarette packets with images of a child's rotted teeth, or a third world man (with no medical aid) with more tumours than you could shake a stick at, or a sown up cadaver is very funny either, but Debs the Destroyer (of our freedoms) seems exceedingly happy with 'her sorts of labels'-but then that's exactly how terrorists work-sneakily, subversively and very quietly until the final BOOM!

You see it's not a matter of smoking being seen as a cool thing to do or even the hottest thing on the planet, it's a matter of choice you stupid, stupid woman! You, Deborah bin (laden with smoker hatred) Arnott simply wish to press your prejudices on a whole nation and somehow you conned a government into believing your crap, so much so that we are the most penalised European country in terms of smoking bans-yet we still boast approximately 24% smokers! Deborah bin Arnott then finishes of with more of the usual
"Cigarettes kill 50% of users, many in middle age. It also significantly increases the risks of lung and heart disease and some people even have to have limbs cut off because of circulation problems caused by smoking. None of that is funny."
Let me correct you here 'bin' lady, air pollution and the myriad of other toxins kill 50% of all people, many in their middle ages.

Again I ask you 'bin Arnott', why did your (rigged) SCOTH hero Jamrozik, a complete anti tobacco warrior, non smoker & fresh air fanatic die in his 'middle ages' (55yrs old) yet a free thinking man by the name of Bertrand Russell smoked his pipe for 72 happy years? (incidentally, Russell died at the 'middle age' of 98!) Did Henry Allingham die at the 'middle age' of 114 (?) after all, he blamed his longevity on
"cigarettes, whisky and wild, wild women".
What 'bin Arnott' needs to realise is that we all die sooner or later, in fact 100% of people die-sooner or later. There is no given time for 'your time' on this earth yet the medical profession have used their usual tactic of "it is estimated that.....". It is amazing just how far reaching that piece of terminology has become for the anti smoking brigade; look at my old acquaintance David Taylor (Leicester North MP)! Went on TV spouting that 'it was estimated that the smoking ban would save 40,000  lives over the next 10 years', yet, bless him, he was taking his non smoking Boxing Day constitutional after a sumptuous repast and his heart simply gave out! And to top even that, there is absolutely no way of proving that any single person has outlived  his/her 'sell by' date!

Finally we have the obligatory 'line' for the Dept of Corruption Health,

"The Department of Health believes the new health warnings are proving effective.

Well I suppose they would believe that, as it would be sooo NOT 'PC' to say any other! But the fact remains that we have now wasted in excess of £27bn on this ludicrous, discriminatory crusade; yet still smoking prevalence hovers around the 24%-25% mark.
Despite all the dire warnings from the terrorists at Shoreditch (and their many cohorts) it is nice to see that someone has the perspicacity to lighten the smokers load with a touch of humour.

Another website dealing in fag packet stickers can be found here.
[ 20 x Funny Cigarette Packet St ]
We are only on this planet once, despite what the health loonies decide so we are entitled to enjoy ourselves as best we can. As you all know, I am a non smoker but this vilification of smokers has now gone too far and as they always say 'actions speak louder than words', so simply buy some stickers and show this authoritarian bunch of Mental Patient's in Westminster that you openly defy this ridiculously implemented law and let your stickers be seen. In fact, why not post some to here:

..........................in fact there are hundreds of places you could send some stickers to, you never know, it might cheer some of these dreary cretins up and illuminate the fact that there are more enjoyable pursuits than destroying one's own country from within!

Bulgaria sees economic doom advancing

With the full smoking ban only days away Blagoy Ragin, the Chairman of BASHRO (Bulgarian Association of Hotel and Restaurant Owners) has forecast dismal times for the Bulgarian economy-which is already struggling. Blagoy has obviously taken a very close look at this idiotic country that has been blinded by the spin from the zealots, so much so that the economy continues to nosedive while we waste £millions on consultations that are not actual 'both sides debated consultations'. Still, Nero fiddled while Rome merrily burnt!
Of course the WHO will be orgasmic on June 1st, 2012 as that is the day the ban becomes a total ban-exactly 5 years after ours which has seen a cataclysmic decline in our social sector as more and more people find other ways of socialising. Fewer and fewer people go to the pubs anymore on a regular basis as pubs no longer captivate: the atmosphere has gone. They are now merely places where one can get a cheap meal and then go home again, they are not places where one wants to stay and socialise all night anymore.
Realising that something needs to be done to halt the onslaught of smoking ban the Bulgars held a protest rally last Sunday to bring attention to the damage the ban will cause to their own fragile economy. It will fall on deaf ears as this world crusade on the poor old smoker is non stop, economies simply don't seem to matter anymore. Blagoy is deadly serious about the forecast doom ahead and, as result of the losses, sees 20% of Bulgarian restaurants, casinos, and night clubs will be forced into bankruptcy by March 2013! Congratulations Blagoy, a man of position who actually applauds tobacco control yet sees the economic stupidity of such a ban-shame we haven't got a few of them over here!
It is totally beyond this writer how countries can willingly follow the WHO's Tobacco Control programme knowing that we are in an economic abyss, yet the WHO happily ignore the starving millions in Africa! The WHO seem quite at ease ignoring these people, even knowing that they are starving to death: Actionaid say, "Food is a human right, but there are more hungry people now than at any time in history. The causes of hunger aren’t natural, they’re manmade - and we can fix them." They're manmade - and we can fix them - really? Then why are the WHO forcing countries to waste £billions on smoking cessation programmes when people, who's only joy might be a cigarette are simply starving to death on a minute by minute basis?
Bulgaria will suffer, just as this country has but the WHO will be back-slapping each other at yet another success. It won't matter if another country sees 20%-30% of its economy disappear from view, the WHO will still expect their yearly contribution, as they do from Britain, who for some weird reason donate approx £26m per annum to be told how to bankrupt ourselves!
ASH are unelected busybodies, the WHO are unelected busybodies and between them most countries will be bankrupted because they are killing off the internal economy of each country bit by bit as the bars close one by one. Why on earth do they think we want to live longer?
